Special religious education

At Killara High School, approximately 40% of students attend Special Religious Education (SRE) which is delivered on Wednesdays. On enrolment parents/carers will be given the SRE participation letter to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child’s enrolment in SRE should be given to the school in writing.

The following SRE classes are offered at Killara High School:

Catholic SRE is provided by the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay. More information about Catholic SRE, including the authorised curriculum scope and sequence, please visit https://www.bbcatholic.org.au/parish-community/ministries/ccd

Protestant Curriculum – Think Faith. Found at Think-Faith-Scope-and-Sequence.

Jewish Curriculum is provided by the Jewish Board of Studies. More information can be found here.

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in meaningful activities such as reading or private study.
