Commitment to the care, wellbeing and growth of each student is complemented by effective pastoral support and curriculum enrichment programs, and is underpinned by strong student discipline.
In the HSC students at Killara High School produce consistently outstanding results - testimony to the high academic standard of the school; talents and application of its students; the support of parents and families and the calibre of Killara's professional staff.
Killara has outstanding programs in creative and performing arts with students' work regularly featured in annual HSC ArtExpress exhibitions. Dance, drama and music ensembles make use of the professional performance facilities in the Kerrabee Centre.
The learning and growth of each student is fostered through a culture of high expectation, care, responsibility, acceptance of difference and respect for others.
While most students proceed to university or TAFE after Year 12, Killara offers a variety of pathways towards further education and work. The HSC program at Killara includes vocational education and training (VET) courses, work placements and traineeships that lead to industry accreditation and certification.
Students also have opportunities to participate in a diverse curriculum enrichment program. More detailed information about this and other programs at Killara is available in Supporting our students and Learning at our School.
